Our Mission
The purpose of this childcare program is to implement each child with a enriched safe, and nurturing environment that will be beneficial to the child in care, parents, and persons of the community. This center provides an equal opportunity for all children to thrive and advance in cognitive and educational aspects. Every single avenue of attempts are made to include every child. We strive to provide all individualized needs to each child. It is understood that all children bloom and mature differently. This understanding is the infrastructure of our program.
Well prepared staff members strategize daily lesson plans to promote the betterment of each child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. GLT focuses on Bandura’s Social Learning Theory, which emphasizes that although child learning and development comes from direct experience, much also comes from modeling and simple observations.
Staff of GLT, strategizes child development by letting the child lead. A child lead educational environment produces benefits because it is guided by the child’s interest and unique capabilities. The Director is a Registered Nurse with her BSN with over fifteen years of childcare experience, the owner is the lead teacher, and all other aides/staff personnel are First Aid and CPR certified. Our center offers American Heart Association First Aid/CPR, medication administration for childcare provider courses, notary, continuing education opportunities to staff throughout the year which are relevant and beneficial. We strongly and consistently urge staff to continue on with their educational journeys through college as well.
GLT notes the importance of a strong relationship between childcare and the home setting. We boost parent interaction whenever opportunities emerge. In today’s reality, parents have tight and restrictive work schedules and may not be accessible to participate in onsite and offsite festivities. For these inconveniences, we have made endeavors to make it possible for parent involvement in the program.

Who We Are
Gwen’s Little Treasures Childcare provides childcare in Rosedale, Maryland. Working hand-in-hand with their parents, we strive to provide each child with a comfortable learning environment where they are able to freely learn and socialize with their peers. The programs that we have are tailored to meet the developmental needs of the children that we are taking care of.
